- Gather all ingredients and equipment, ensuring your ice cream is slightly softened and glasses are chilled for 5 minutes.
- Pour 1 1/2 cups eggnog and 1/4 cup whole milk into the blender first to aid blending.
- Add 2 cups of premium vanilla ice cream on top of the liquids for the right creamy consistency.
- Sprinkle in 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt.
- If desired, add 2 ounces of bourbon, rum, or brandy and a pinch of cinnamon.
- Blend on medium speed for 30 to 45 seconds, until completely smooth and creamy without over-aerating.
- Taste and adjust consistency: add more milk if too thick or an extra scoop of ice cream if too thin, then blend briefly again.
- Pour into chilled glasses, garnish with extra grated nutmeg and a pinch of cinnamon, and serve immediately.
