Ingredients

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce pear nectar or pear juice
  • 0.5 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 ounce simple syrup
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 slice fresh pear for garnish optional

  • Jigger or measuring spoon
  • Strainer
  • Martini glass or coupe glass

Method
 

  1. Chill a martini or coupe glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with 1 cup of fresh ice.
  3. Measure and pour 2 ounces of vodka into the shaker.
  4. Add 1 ounce of pear nectar or juice to the shaker.
  5. Pour in 0.5 ounce of fresh lemon juice.
  6. Add 0.5 ounce of simple syrup to balance the flavors.
  7. Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds until the outside is frosty.
  8. Strain the mixture into the chilled glass using a strainer.
  9. Garnish with a thin slice of fresh pear and serve immediately.
