  • 2 ounces Dusse cognac
  • 0.75 ounces fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 ounces honey syrup equal parts honey and water
  • 2 ounces ginger beer
  • Ice enough to fill glass
  • Lemon wheel or twist for garnish

  • Jigger or measuring shot glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Strainer
  • Rocks glass or highball glass
  • Citrus juicer or hand squeezer
  • Cocktail stirring stick or bar pick

Method
 

  1. Fill a rocks or highball glass with fresh ice.
  2. Measure and pour 2 ounces of Dusse cognac into the glass.
  3. Add 0.75 ounces of fresh lemon juice.
  4. Add 0.5 ounces of honey syrup.
  5. Stir the mixture with a bar spoon for 10 to 15 seconds until fully combined and chilled.
  6. Top the drink with 2 ounces of cold ginger beer.
  7. Gently stir once more to integrate the ginger beer without losing carbonation.
  8. Express a lemon twist over the drink and drop it in as a garnish, then serve immediately.

Notes

Chill your glass beforehand for an extra-cold cocktail and maintain balance by using fresh ingredients.
