Ingredients
  

Main
  • 6 to 8 ounces cold brew concentrate or chilled cold brew
  • 1 to 2 shots 1 to 2 ounces espresso
  • Ice as needed (optional)
  • Milk cream, or milk alternative (optional)
  • Sweetener optional

Equipment

  • Espresso machine or moka pot
  • Tall glass (8 to 12 ounces)
  • Shot glass or small cup for espresso
  • Measuring cup or jigger
  • Spoon for stirring

Method
 

  1. Fill a tall glass with 6 to 8 ounces of cold brew concentrate or chilled cold brew.
  2. Add ice cubes to the cold brew if you prefer a chilled, slightly diluted drink.
  3. Pull 1 to 2 shots of fresh espresso using an espresso machine or Moka pot immediately before assembling.
  4. Slowly pour the hot espresso into the cold brew and watch the dark liquid swirl into the lighter base.
  5. Gently stir with a spoon to fully combine the espresso and cold brew into a uniform drink.
  6. Add a splash of milk, cream, or milk alternative for extra creaminess if desired.
  7. Sweeten with simple syrup, honey, or your preferred sweetener and stir until dissolved.
  8. Taste and adjust the espresso strength, milk, or sweetener in future batches based on your preference.

Notes

Pull fresh espresso shots immediately before pouring into cold brew for best flavor.
