Ingredients

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce coconut rum
  • 0.5 ounce dry vermouth
  • 0.5 ounce fresh lime juice
  • Ice cubes for chilling
  • Toasted coconut flakes for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh lime twist for garnish

  • Jigger or shot glass for measuring

Method
 

  1. Chill your martini glass in the freezer for at least five minutes.
  2. Add ice cubes to a cocktail shaker until it is two-thirds full.
  3. Pour 2 ounces vodka into the shaker using a jigger.
  4. Add 1 ounce coconut rum to the shaker.
  5. Pour 0.5 ounce dry vermouth into the shaker.
  6. Add 0.5 ounce fresh lime juice to the shaker.
  7. Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds, until the shaker feels frosty.
  8. Strain the cocktail into the chilled martini glass using a strainer.
  9. Garnish with a fresh lime twist and optionally rim the glass with toasted coconut flakes.

Notes

Serve immediately after pouring to enjoy the cocktail at optimal temperature and texture.
