Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 0.75 ounce coconut cream
  • 0.5 ounce Cointreau or triple sec
  • 0.5 ounce simple syrup optional, adjust to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wheel or salt rim for garnish optional

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker with strainer
  • Jigger or measuring spoon
  • Bar spoon
  • Coupe glass or rocks glass
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Small plate for salt rim (optional)

Method
 

  1. Set out your cocktail shaker, jigger, strainer, and serving glass before you start mixing.
  2. Pour ice cubes into your cocktail shaker until it’s about two-thirds full.
  3. Measure and pour 2 ounces of silver tequila into the shaker.
  4. Add 1 ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice to the shaker.
  5. Measure 0.75 ounce of coconut cream and pour it into the shaker.
  6. Add 0.5 ounce of Cointreau or triple sec into the shaker.
  7. If desired, add 0.5 ounce of simple syrup based on your taste preference.
  8. Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty.
  9. Strain the cocktail into your serving glass filled with fresh ice.
  10. Garnish with a lime wheel, salt rim, or toasted coconut flake and serve immediately.

Notes

Shake vigorously to incorporate the coconut cream fully and serve immediately in a chilled glass.
