Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice optional

  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Strainer or tea infuser
  • cup or mug

Method
 

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of whole cloves to the boiling water.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer the cloves for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the tea through a strainer or tea infuser into a mug.
  5. Stir in 1 tablespoon of honey while the tea is still warm, if desired.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice for a bright, tangy flavor, if desired.
  7. Pour the tea into serving mugs and garnish with a lemon slice or cinnamon sprinkle, if desired.

Notes

Always taste your tea before serving and adjust the sweetness or acidity to your preference.
