Method
- Measure 2 tablespoons of ground coffee into your filter or brewing device (use 1 tablespoon for espresso).
- Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon over the coffee grounds and stir gently to combine.
- Heat 8 ounces of water to about 200°F (just off a boil).
- Pour the hot water over the cinnamon-coffee mixture and brew: steep for 4 minutes in a French press, run a drip cycle, perform a pour-over, or pull an espresso shot.
- Pour the brewed coffee into a mug, leaving space for milk or cream if desired.
- Add 1 to 3 tablespoons of milk or cream, and stir gently.
- Sweeten to taste with honey, sugar, or maple syrup, starting with 1 teaspoon.
- Stir thoroughly and serve immediately to enjoy the full aroma and flavor.
Notes
Mixing the cinnamon with the dry grounds before brewing ensures even flavor distribution and prevents gritty texture.
