Ingredients

Main
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
  • Fresh fruit slices like lemon, lime, or berries for garnish

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Pitcher or jar for storage

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the chia seeds and water. Stir well to prevent clumping.
  2. Allow the mixture to rest for about 10 minutes, letting the chia seeds absorb the water and expand.
  3. After 10 minutes, give the mixture another good stir to ensure the seeds are evenly distributed.
  4. If you prefer a sweeter drink, mix in honey or maple syrup.
  5. Add the lemon or lime juice to the mixture.
  6. Transfer the juice to a pitcher and chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Pour the chilled juice into glasses and garnish with fresh fruit slices.
  8. Take a sip and enjoy the unique texture and refreshing flavors.
