Method
- Measure 2 ounces Casamigos tequila, 1 ounce fresh lime juice, 0.5 ounce triple sec or Cointreau, and 0.5 ounce agave nectar using a jigger or measuring glass.
- If desired, rub the rim of a rocks or margarita glass with a lime wedge and dip into sea salt to create a salt rim.
- Add 1 cup of fresh ice to the cocktail shaker and fill it about two-thirds full.
- Pour the measured Casamigos tequila into the ice-filled shaker.
- Add 0.5 ounce triple sec or Cointreau to the shaker.
- Add 1 ounce of fresh lime juice to the shaker.
- Add 0.5 ounce of agave nectar to the shaker.
- Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 seconds until the outside is frosty.
- Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice, using a cocktail strainer.
- Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim and serve immediately.
Notes
Always use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best flavor. Scale ingredients as needed for additional servings.
