Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 tablespoons dried calendula petals
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon honey optional
  • 1 slice lemon optional

Equipment

  • Teapot or saucepan
  • Fine mesh strainer or tea infuser
  • cup or mug
  • Measuring spoon

Method
 

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a teapot or saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 2 tablespoons of dried calendula petals.
  3. Cover and let the tea steep for 10 minutes to fully infuse the petals.
  4. Place a fine mesh strainer or tea infuser over a cup or mug.
  5. Pour the steeped tea through the strainer into your cup to remove all petals.
  6. While the tea is still warm, stir in 1 teaspoon of honey, if using, until fully dissolved.
  7. Add a slice of lemon to the cup for a zesty twist, if desired.
  8. Enjoy the tea hot, or allow it to cool and serve over ice for a refreshing iced variation.

Always use freshly dried calendula petals for the best flavor and health benefits.
