Method
- Chill your martini glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes.
- Measure and pour 2 ounces of vodka, 0.5 ounces of blue curacao, and 0.25 ounces of dry vermouth into a jigger.
- Cut a fresh lemon in half and squeeze 0.5 ounces of juice through a fine mesh strainer into a small glass.
- Fill your cocktail shaker halfway with large ice cubes.
- Add the measured vodka, blue curacao, dry vermouth, and fresh lemon juice to the ice-filled shaker.
- Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds to chill and aerate the drink.
- Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass, leaving the ice behind.
- Twist a lemon peel over the surface to release oils and drop it into the drink, or garnish with a blue cocktail cherry.
Notes
Pre-chill your mixing glass and spirits to minimize dilution and achieve the smoothest texture.
