- Slice the orange and lemon into thin rounds, leaving the peel on.
- Rinse the blackberries under cool water and pat dry.
- Pour the dry red wine into the large glass pitcher.
- Add the blackberries to the wine in the pitcher.
- Add the citrus slices to the pitcher with the berries.
- Sprinkle the granulated sugar over the fruit and wine, then stir until dissolved.
- Pour in the brandy and orange liqueur, stirring gently to combine.
- Cover the pitcher and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours.
- When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice, pour the sangria, and top with club soda or ginger ale if desired.
