Method
- Heat water to 200–210°F (just under boiling) and steep black tea for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea through a fine mesh strainer into a cup and let it cool to room temperature (about 10 to 15 minutes).
- Measure 0.75 ounce of whiskey with a jigger and pour into the shot glass.
- Add 0.75 ounce of cooled black tea into the shot glass with the whiskey.
- Warm 0.5 ounce of honey gently over a flame or heat source for a few seconds until pourable.
- Pour the warm honey into the shot glass over the back of a spoon to layer it.
- Stir gently for 10 to 15 seconds until ingredients are evenly blended.
- Serve immediately and consume within two minutes for best flavor.
