Best Virgin Pina Colada

Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1 cup cream of coconut
  • 1.5 cups pineapple juice
  • 2 to 3 cups ice

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tall glasses
  • Cocktail straws (optional)
  • Ice cube tray or crushed ice
  • Cutting board (if using fresh pineapple)
  • Knife (if using fresh pineapple)

Method
 

  1. Gather and measure your cream of coconut, pineapple juice, and ice before blending.
  2. Pour 1 cup of cream of coconut into the blender.
  3. Add 1.5 cups of pineapple juice to the blender.
  4. Add 2 to 3 cups of crushed ice to the blender.
  5. Blend on medium speed then increase to high and blend for 45 seconds to 1 minute until smooth and creamy.
  6. Check the consistency: if too thick, add 2 tablespoons of pineapple juice and blend again; if too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend.
  7. Chill two tall glasses by filling with ice water for 1 minute, then discard the water.
  8. Pour the blended mixture into the glasses and garnish with a pineapple wedge and straw, then serve immediately.

Notes

Serve immediately while cold and frothy.
