Ingredients

Main
  • 2 cups frozen mixed berries or single variety
  • 1 medium frozen banana sliced before freezing
  • 1 cup coconut milk full-fat canned or carton
  • 1/2 cup almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or ground flaxseed optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Equipment

  • High-speed blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tall glass or smoothie cup
  • Spoon for stirring

Method

  1. Gather and measure 2 cups frozen berries and 1 sliced frozen banana.
  2. Add the frozen berries and banana slices to the blender pitcher.
  3. Pour in 1 cup of coconut milk as the creamy base.
  4. Slowly add 1/2 cup almond milk, adjusting thickness as needed.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract if using.
  6. Add 1 tablespoon chia seeds or ground flaxseed if using for extra nutrition.
  7. Secure the blender lid tightly before blending.
  8. Blend on low speed for a few seconds, then increase to high speed and blend for 45 to 60 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  9. Check the smoothie thickness and add more almond milk in 1/4 cup increments if it is too thick.
  10. Pour the smoothie into two glasses and serve immediately while cold and frothy.

Notes

Serve immediately while cold and frothy; the smoothie begins to separate if left standing.
