Method
- Pour 32 ounces of filtered or tap water into a 1-quart glass pitcher or water bottle.
- Add 1 teaspoon of sodium chloride (sea salt or pink Himalayan salt) and stir to combine.
- Sprinkle in 1/4 teaspoon of potassium chloride or 1/2 teaspoon of cream of tartar and mix well.
- Stir in 1/4 teaspoon of magnesium glycinate powder or magnesium citrate until dissolved.
- Cut a fresh lemon or lime in half and add about 2 tablespoons of juice to the mixture.
- If desired, add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of stevia or monk fruit powder and stir gently to sweeten.
- Stir or shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds to ensure all mineral powders dissolve fully.
- Taste the ketoade and adjust salt, citrus juice, or sweetener as needed for balance.
- Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes or serve immediately over ice for a cold, refreshing drink.
Notes
Store ketoade in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, shaking before each serving. For easier mixing, dissolve powders in a small amount of warm water before adding cold water.
