  • 0.5 ounce brandy
  • 0.5 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar
  • 1 thin apple slice for garnish

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring glass
  • Mixing glass or shaker tin
  • Cocktail strainer
  • Martini glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Small plate for cinnamon sugar rim

Method

  1. Pour cinnamon sugar onto a small plate and run a lemon wedge around the rim of the martini glass to moisten.
  2. Dip the moistened rim into the cinnamon sugar, rotating to coat evenly.
  3. Fill the cocktail shaker three-quarters full with ice cubes.
  4. Measure and add 2 ounces of vodka into the shaker.
  5. Add 3 ounces of fresh apple cider to the shaker.
  6. Pour 0.5 ounce of brandy into the shaker for warmth and depth.
  7. Add 0.5 ounce of fresh lemon juice and stir briefly with a bar spoon to combine.
  8. Cover and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds, until the shaker feels frosty.
  9. Strain the mixture into the prepared martini glass, keeping ice out of the glass.
  10. Garnish with a thin apple slice on the rim and serve immediately.

Notes

Chill the martini glass in the freezer or fill with ice before preparing to keep the cocktail cold longer.
