  • 1.5 ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce Aperol
  • 0.75 ounces fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 ounces simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wheel or salt rim for garnish

  • Mixing glass or large cup for shaking

  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Margarita or coupe glass

Method
 

  1. Place the margarita or coupe glass in the freezer and chill for 2 minutes.
  2. Fill the cocktail shaker with ice cubes, about three-quarters full.
  3. Measure and pour 1.5 ounces of silver tequila into the shaker.
  4. Add 1 ounce of Aperol to the shaker.
  5. Pour in 0.75 ounces of fresh lime juice.
  6. Add 0.5 ounces of simple syrup to the shaker.
  7. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds until the shaker feels cold.
  8. Strain the cocktail into the chilled glass using a fine mesh strainer.
  9. Garnish with a lime wheel or rim the glass with salt, then serve immediately.

Notes

Serve immediately for best flavor and chill the glass to maintain temperature without dilution.
