Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup optional
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • Pinch of salt

  • Nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer
  • Measuring cups
  • Container for storage

Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients and equipment.
  2. Add rolled oats, water, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to the blender.
  3. Blend on high for 30 seconds until smooth.
  4. Place a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer over a pitcher and pour the mixture through it.
  5. Gently squeeze the bag or press with a spoon to extract all the milk.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or flavor if needed, then blend briefly to combine.
  7. Pour the oat milk into a clean container, seal, and refrigerate for up to five days.
  8. Shake well before using, as separation is natural.

Notes

Shake before use and store in an airtight container for up to five days. Use leftover pulp in smoothies or baking.
