  • 0.5 oz gin London Dry style preferred
  • 4 oz grape juice fresh or bottled, no pulp preferred
  • 0.75 oz fresh lime juice about half a lime
  • Ice cubes as needed for filling glass
  • Lime wheel for garnish
  • Club soda optional, about 1 oz for added fizz

Equipment

  • Highball glass or tall drinking glass
  • Jigger (1.5 oz and 0.5 oz sizes)
  • Barspoon or long stirring spoon
  • Citrus juicer or hand juicer
  • Cutting board and paring knife
  • Cocktail strainer (optional)
  • Ice bucket or ice maker

Method

  1. Fill a highball glass with fresh ice cubes, packing them tightly to keep the drink cold longer.
  2. Pour 1.5 oz vodka into the ice-filled glass using a jigger.
  3. Add 0.5 oz gin to the glass with the vodka.
  4. Pour 4 oz grape juice into the glass and stir gently to combine.
  5. Add 0.75 oz fresh lime juice to the mixture.
  6. Stir all ingredients together with a barspoon for about 10 seconds to integrate flavors.
  7. Top with about 1 oz of club soda if desired for added fizz.
  8. Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim of the glass and serve immediately.

Notes

Always use fresh lime juice for brightness; club soda is optional to add effervescence and lighten the drink.
