Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 4-6 lemons
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice for serving
  • Lemon slices for garnish optional

Equipment

  • Juicer or citrus squeezer
  • Pitcher
  • Stirring spoon
  • Measuring cups
  • Glasses for serving

Method

  1. Start by cutting your lemons in half. Use a juicer or your hands to extract the juice into a measuring cup.
  2. In a separate bowl, measure out one cup of granulated sugar.
  3. In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice with the sugar. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  4. Pour in the four cups of cold water.
  5. Give the lemonade a taste. If it’s too tart, add more sugar; if too sweet, add more lemon juice or water.
  6. Let the lemonade chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  7. Fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled lemonade over it.
  8. If you want to be fancy, add lemon slices to each glass for a decorative touch.

Notes

This lemonade is best served chilled and can be customized to fit your taste. Adjust sweetness as needed.
