Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup milk any kind you prefer
  • 1/4 cup raspberry puree fresh or frozen
  • 2 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Fresh raspberries for garnish optional

Equipment

  • Espresso machine or coffee maker
  • Milk frother or whisk
  • Small saucepan
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Coffee mug or glass

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the raspberry puree and sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. While the raspberry mixture is cooking, brew your espresso or strong coffee.
  3. In a separate saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm, but do not let it boil.
  4. Once heated, use a milk frother or whisk to froth the milk until it’s light and airy.
  5. In your coffee mug or glass, combine the brewed coffee and raspberry puree. Stir gently to mix the flavors together.
  6. Pour the frothed milk over the coffee and raspberry mixture.
  7. Drizzle the vanilla extract over the top of the frothy milk.
  8. Top your latte with whipped cream and fresh raspberries if desired.

Notes

Adjust the raspberry puree and sugar to taste based on your preference.
