Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 1 cup tequila
  • ½ cup orange liqueur
  • ½ cup simple syrup
  • Ice for blending and serving
  • Salt for rimming glasses, optional
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Jigger or shot glass
  • Shaker (optional)
  • Glassware for serving

Method

  1. If you like a salted rim, rub a lemon slice around the rim of each glass and dip it into salt.
  2. Measure out all your ingredients before blending.
  3. In a blender, combine the fresh lemon juice, coconut cream, tequila, orange liqueur, and simple syrup. Blend until smooth.
  4. Add a generous amount of ice to the blender and blend again until the mixture is slushy.
  5. Take a quick taste of your mix. If it needs sweetness or tartness, adjust with more simple syrup or lemon juice.
  6. Pour the margarita mixture into the prepared glasses.
  7. Add a lemon slice on the rim of each glass for garnish.
  8. Serve immediately to enjoy the frosty texture.

Notes

For an extra touch, freeze the lemon juice in ice cube trays and use them instead of regular ice!
